Each year at Christmastime, our staff at Lake Ridge Chapel & Memorial Designers, with the help of our community, celebrate the big-hearted spirit of Charli Jones. After her passing in 2019, Charli’s parents requested toy donations be made in her honor during the holiday season—a reflection of their daughter’s passion for helping others. The community response to the Jones’ fundraising efforts was overwhelming, and since then, our neighbors have donated  $40,000 in both toys and monetary donations to benefit local children.

Charli’s Tree and Sharing Holiday Cheer

Our funeral home established Charli’s Tree, a year-round initiative dedicated to supporting children in need and spreading holiday cheer, to carry on Charli’s legacy of generosity and hope. Charli’s Tree is more than just a holiday tradition—it’s a testament to the power of community and a reminder of the powerful impact one life can have on so many. Every donation helps bring joy to children in need, ensuring that Charli’s passion for helping others lives on.

We welcome monetary donations using an online form on our website or mailing the donation directly to our funeral home. You may also bring a new, unwrapped toy to our funeral home to place under Charli’s Tree by December 14. (Note: Monetary donations are accepted year-round.) How We Serve Our Lubbock Community
