Our Story

Our Passionate Founder

From a young age, Santos Moreno heard his calling loud and clear: to care for families as they say goodbye to their loved ones. Attending the Mortuary School at Dallas Institute of Funeral Services cemented his vision to become a funeral director, and a business degree from Wayland University gave him the practical skills to fulfill his dream. Santos got started at Rix Funeral Home, where he apprenticed under Whit Victory who taught him the power of honoring the human connection in every funeral service.

Our one-of-a-kind funeral home

Shortly after Whit’s death, Santos decided to start his own funeral home where he could implement innovative complimentary services like dove releases, catered visitations, and group-focused grief support services and events. In 2007, he opened his own facility filled with natural light and contemporary furniture to make people feel at home. Down to the smallest detail, he aims to bring traditional funeral services into the modern-day.

Our Devoted Staff

Santos and his tight-knit team uphold a standard of excellence across everything we do. Our services are built around fostering a sense of community and belonging in every family we help. We strive to see every family celebrate their loved ones in a profound and meaningful way. At Lake Ridge Chapel & Memorial Designers, it’s not the facilities, the reviews, or the special amenities that make us who we are. It’s our people—the dedicated individuals on staff and every family that walks through our doors.
