Wilma Dawson Davis

Wilma was born on August 25, 1925, to Matt and Minnie (Graves) Dawson in Roaring Springs, TX. She graduated from Meadow High School and received an Associate’s degree from Wayland Baptist University. On December 22, 1948, she married Cleon Davis in Plainview. While raising three daughters, Wilma spent a lot of time in her kitchen. She loved cooking and canning. She was a member of Monterey Baptist Church; she always put others’ needs before her own, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleon, on March 17, 2008; seven sisters; and one brother. Wilma is survived by her three daughters; Cindy Davis and Charlotte Beasley both of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and Sharron Davis and husband Ken Rutherford of Lubbock; nephews, Phil Kerr and Larry Hicks.
