Wendell Keith was born on August 26, 1940 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Arthur and Lyddie Woody. He married Neva Mowery on December 24, 1959 in Levelland, Texas. Keith Woody served was the pastor of eight different churches over the span of four decades in the ministry. The churches that he served are located in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. He began a church in Austin in the early 90’s that has grown to almost 300 members. He was a national leader in the Free Will Baptist Denomination. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His legacy is one of starting churches as well as helping small and struggling churches. We are so grateful for the tremendous impact that he has had on so many lives. He was faithfully married to our dear mother for over 50 years. Dad was also fun loving and full of life. He loved golf; he loved eating at his favorite restaurants, especially eating breakfast at the Red Zone in Lubbock. He was very much a people person and never met a stranger. He was loved and will be missed. Survivors include his children, Dan Woody, and wife, Peggy, and Kim Monroe; grandchildren, Jade Monroe, Jonathan Woody, Chris Woody and wife, Chelsea; siblings, Mack Woody and wife, Sarah, Larry Woody and wife, Earlene, Joyce Howell, and Helen Stevens He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva Woody; parents, Arthur and Lyddie Woody; and sister, Shirley Gonzales.
