Obituary

The family of Walter “Tooter” Black will celebrate his life of 56 years at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Thursday, May 13, 2021. On March 1, 1965, Walter Houston was born to Walter and Betty Black, Jr. in Lubbock, Texas. He married Rosa Elena Marin on June 7, 2010, at Levelland, Texas. “Tooter” was a happy child that loved animals and sports. He was an amazing football player and a star member of the Lobos football team. “Tooter” had a passion for riding his motorcycle and being on the road. His fondness for being on the road continued as he accomplished the position of a responsible truck driver. Walter had a big heart. He loved his dad Buddy George, and mother, Betty, endlessly. His love for his son was unconditional. He adored his wife, Rosa Elena Black, who was the Love of his Life. Walter made great impressions among his family and friends. Walter was truly a caring person and always ready to help those in need.

Survivors include his wife, Elena Black; son, Tanner Black; stepson, Art Mosqueda and wife, Stephanie; stepdaughter, Vicki Mosqueda; parents, Walter Black, Jr., and Betty Dale; brother, Frank George; and sister, Kerri George.

He will be missed dearly. Rest in Peace Love.
