The family of Lena Williams will celebrate her life, of 103 years, with a visitation at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock Texas, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021. The family will also have a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Weaver Baptist Church, 8749 US HWY 67, Saltillo, Tx 75478, followed by a graveside service. She passed on Saturday, November 13, 2021. We invite you to visit www.memorialdesigners.net to sign her virtual guestbook.On February 6, 1918, Lena Davis was born to Guthrie and Viola Davis in Weaver, TX. She married Stephen Williams on June 20, 1953, in Roswell New Mexico. She retired from AT&T after more than 30 years of service as a telephone operator. Lena was very active in the Communication Workers of America Union, serving as treasurer of her local chapter and attending many annual national conferences. She was active in her church throughout her life.Survivors include her grandchildren, Stephen Ford, and Julie Davis, three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Williams, daughter Elizabeth Ford, father, Guthrie Davis, mother, Viola Davis, sisters, Christine Brewer, and Oreda Gauntt, and brothers, Weldon, and Joe Davis.
