Sorry to hear about Tony leaving us. It's been almost 50 years since all the boys on 59th street played up and down the block, but those were good times. My oldest Ray is there in heaven to discuss old days with Tony, so the two will have plenty to talk about. Thoughts for all the family.

We love the Mann family and we pray for comfort and peace as you grieve the loss of your son and brother. He no longer suffers, but those of you who remain will deeply experience the void that has been created. May the Holy Spirit fill you with the happy memories and the laughter that Tony so often initiated. He left you with enough “jokes” to last until we all meet again. We love you deeply and we are here to walk this journey with you — O.D.A.T.

Tony and I worked together at TTU. Many times when driving to a job site Tony would talk about his truck driving days. One of his most repeated commits “I’ve driven more miles backwards than you have driven forward.” I believed him. See you at the end of the road - rest in peace

I was privileged to work with Tony at Texas Tech University for many years. He was well known for his friendly nature, spirited humor, and hard work ethic. Tony's job often required him to come into work on a moment's notice, at unexpected and inconvenient times, and he would get the job done whenever he was called upon. When problems occurred, it was very common to hear, "...I'm sending Tony," because he was reliable and well liked by our customers. Although Tony was known as a hard worker, he was better known by his coworkers for his fun-loving attitude and quick wit. When he entered the room, something special was added to any situation. Loud and boisterous, but always kind, compassionate and generous. I'm thankful to God for having the opportunity to know Tony not only as a coworker, but also as a fellow believer in Jesus. It was clear to me that Tony was thankful to God for his blessings, and brought his daily trials before God in prayer, certain that his prayers were heard. Tony will be missed, but only until we meet again. Enjoy your rest friend.
