Thomas Jensen was born on June 18, 1929, the only child of Walter and Gladys (Bonds) Jensen in Wichita Falls and graduated from Wichita Falls High School. He attended Texas Tech University until serving in the US Army during the Korean War. He received a Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Korean Service Medal for his service. Following his discharge from the Army, Thomas completed his education at Texas Tech University receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Thomas married the love of his life Nancy Bowen in 1954, in Wichita Falls and they lived in Dallas and Pampa before moving to Lubbock in in 1964. Thomas worked as a Manager for Lennox Industries until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Thomas’s life centered on family and his work, however he did find time to play the violin and watch the Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys play football.
Today Thomas is enjoying the company of his parents and his wife, Nancy who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his three daughters, Debbie Baker and husband Terry, Angela Nail and husband Ron, and Christy Reeves and husband Michael all of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Chris Baker and wife Madison, Justin Nail, Lindsay Woodard and husband Ronnie, Michelle Baker, Kennedy Reeves, and Payton Reeves.
