Theresa Denney was born on November 23, 1948, to the late Anthony and Esther Fabry in McAlester, OK. On January 8, 1971, she married Ron Denney in Roswell, NM. They moved to Lubbock in 1975.
Most recently Theresa served as Executive Administrator for the Texas Tech Alumni Association (TTUAA) of which she retired just a few months ago. Prior to joining the TTUAA, Theresa functioned as the Marketing Director for Southwestern Public Service Company (SPS) for 29 years. Theresa received an associate’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM.
Theresa loved cooking, baking and spending time with her granddaughters in the kitchen. She also enjoyed being involved with social activities, traveling and participated in Beta Sigma Phi for many years. Her greatest blessing in life was that of her family and caring for them.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Ron Denney, two daughters, Jill Denney Brown and husband Aaron of Austin, and Jennifer Denney Nanz of Lubbock, two granddaughters, Macy Nanz and Sydney Nanz, a brother Tony Fabry of North Dakota and her beloved dog, Maddie. She is preceded in death by her parents.
