Terry Bradley was born April 4, 1955, in Fort Dix, near Wrightstown, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Ralph and Audrey Elder, and was the second of three children. Her mother, Audrey, and her siblings, David Elder and Edie Lemley, survive her.She became a Christian at a young age, and her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ defined her life. As a high school student, she participated in Bible studies at a coffee shop in New Jersey and later attended Emmaus Bible College. She was active in sharing her faith with others, eventually moving to Houston, Texas, to help establish the church University Christian Fellowship. It was through that church that she met the love of her life, Burt Bradley, a student at University of Houston College of Optometry. Terry and Burt were married in Lubbock on Sept. 26, 1981. They were devoted Christians and were active in Christian service. They had four children: Ruth Kathryn, Jane Elizabeth, Abigail Luann and Anselm Burt. Terry and Burt were married for 34 years. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother. She homeschooled all four children through high school. She made a beautiful home for them through her creativity, her love of books and of music, and her gentle care. She was active in her church, South Plains Bible Chapel, and she influenced the lives of many people, bringing some to saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and helping others to a closer walk with Him.She faithfully served her Lord Jesus and she laid down her life in serving her family. Her joyful countenance, her gentle spirit, and her warm heart were a blessing to us all. She truly lived out her faith, joyously trusting in God throughout her life and even in her last years, as she battled cancer. She continued to share Christ with others even then, lovingly reaching out to fellow patients and to medical staff. Her favorite Biblical promise is found in 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” (NASB). Terry is survived by her husband, Burt, and by her four children: Ruth Haesemeyer and her husband Matthew; Jane Parrish and her husband Ben; Abigail Gibson and her husband Blake; and Anselm Bradley.Terry was blessed to have five grandchildren who were a special source of joy to her: Elliot James, Norah Lee, Henry Garner and Hudson Matthew Haesemeyer; and Sadie Ann Parrish.Terry Lee Elder Bradley, age 61, died at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2016.
