Born on December 27, 1941, in Turkey, Texas, Ted was the epitome of resilience, hard work, and unwavering dedication. He embarked on numerous challenges throughout his illustrious life, leaving an indelible mark on the community and those around him. Ted’s captivating smile, kind-hearted nature, and relentless pursuit of excellence earned him respect that extended far beyond the confines of his professional endeavors.
Ted thrived in the banking industry, where he dedicated himself to serving others. With an unwavering commitment to his customers, he embraced every opportunity to offer support, guidance, and financial wisdom. Ted’s expertise and impeccable work ethic propelled him to become one of the most esteemed bankers of his time. Beyond his professional achievements, Ted cherished his role as a loving father and grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved daughter Stacey and husband Robby Sowder; son Gant Barnhill and wife Julie, and cherished grandchild Randi Jinkins, Lindsay Collins, and Austin Reed, Carter Barnhill, and Cole Barnhill. Ted’s unconditional love and steadfast presence will forever resonate within the hearts of his family, who will cherish the memories, lessons, and immeasurable love he bestowed upon them.
To honor and celebrate Ted’s remarkable life, a gathering will be held on February 16, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
