“Sydna Lowrey passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 68 years on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. Sydna was born on January 25, 1948 to Sidney and Edwina Randals. She grew up in Lamesa, Texas. After graduating from high school, she attended Columbia College. On December 18, 1970, Sydna married Bud Lowrey in Lubbock, Texas. The two of them moved to Capitan, New Mexico, to the Canning Ranch for several years, before making their home in Grenville, New Mexico, where they raised their two girls. After retiring from the ranch in New Mexico, they moved back to Texas. Sydna worked at United Market Street in Lubbock, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Lowrey; two daughters, Staja Mills and husband, Chuck, Lisa Mayes and husband, Les; mother-in-law, Foy Lowrey; grandchildren, J. C. Maney, Haliegh Mills, Aubrey Mayes, Blaze Mayes, Stran Mayes; brother, Roger Randals and wife, Julie; niece, Lensey Morris and husband, Jason and nephew, Sidney Randals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Scoot Lowrey; and granddaughter, Makay Mayes, who died on July 6, 2005.
Memorial contributions are welcome and the family suggests, the Lung Cancer Foundation or the Ronald McDonald House, Amarillo, Texas.”
