Wendal, my heart is sad knowing that you have lost your lady. You know, it has been 48 years since we first met you two. I have known all these years that in Lubbock Texas there was more love than that of my children and grand girls. You and Sunny have been part and parcel there, ( along with the other flower people ) of that sense of peace. I am so very sad for your loss. I will try and say hi when I come there later this month.Give Brandi and Jeff my sympathy and a hug. I know they are busy right now helping you think. ( Melissa, Anthony, Shawn and Jennifer helped me stay in the now when we lost Daniel.)I could mot find your proper phone number to call. Warm hugs and love to you all. Martha

Sunny was my partner in an exhibition square dance team when we were 12 years old. She is one of the oldest and most remembered friends that I have had. Ive often thought of her and will miss her greatly. Always upbeat and cheerful she was a pleasure to look forward to. Sunny, you're in a better place now and we will miss you. Til we meet again. Roy

Sunny has been my best friend since 1st grade at George R. Bean thru high school. I had the honor of playing match-maker and introduced her to Windal. We never lost touch, both of us had promised to do that. She was one of the smartest women I have ever known. She was a treasure. My deepest sympathy to Windal and the family.

I met Sunny when we moved to Lubbock when I was 13. She and my brother were the same age—2 years younger than I. Our dads worked together and we all became good friends. She was a loyal, jovial, and true friend for 67 years even when I moved away. I saw her every time I went to Lubbock. I will miss her so much. My condolences to Windall, Brandi, Geoffrey, Joe and Janice Love and blessings to all of you,Irma Bollinger

I have known Sunny for most of my life. While our birthdays are only 8 days separated, we didn’t become friends until we began our first days of school at Bean Elementary, 1st. grade, and continuing all the way through high school. I could have never known a finer friend for all those years. In school Sunny was always the most intelligent and straightforward honest, and I must say it was I who really benefited from our friendship. In those young years we were all more like family, than classmates. To me Sunny will always be family, and I will remember her and her Sunny Disposition for the rest of my life. Rest In Peace my friend!

I was delighted to see Sunny & Windal in the grocery store this summer!! Such a fun surprise! Sunny and I went to grade school together at Geo. R. Bean. We are forever "Beaners". Continued to enjoy each other at high school reunions. Even though we had gone to different high schools. She was always a class act with a smile on her face.

I have known Sunny since elementary school. I always Thought her name fit her happy and sunny disposition. A huge group of us that attended George R Bean have stayed in contact all these years and we call ourselves “the Beaners”. The Beaners grieve her loss, along with those she loved. Throughout her very long and painful medical treatments, Sunny kept that same “Sunny” personality. She suffers no more. I am Glad for that and know she is in a wonderful place right now. Heaven has a new bright star. Georgene Oatman Crolley

One of my strongest memories about her was her laugh... Deep, robust with her head thrown back. Her joy was fully shared. I also remember her holding each of my children (Meaghan and Patrick) and I cautioned her that they would grab her earrings. She told me they wouldn’t dare because she had already set those limits with them. She was right! They watched with fascination but never grabbed them. Oh how she loved you Brandi and Jeff! You were everything in her life!
