Sharon Jane Dodson

The family of Sharon Jane Dodson will host a gathering at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 16, 2024, to celebrate her 81 years of life.

Sharon Jane Dodson was born April 10, 1942 to William and Inez Reynolds Webb in Kalamazoo, MI. She married Donald Mills Dodson on February 6, 1961, in Lubbock, TX. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed traveling with her family. She always placed her family first and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and grand dogs. Sharon was a dedicated volunteer with her husband for over 18 years at the Lubbock State School (now the Lubbock State Supported Living Center) where they worked on the monthly garage sales that supported the residents. In 2018, Sharon and Donald were celebrated as the Volunteers of the Year for the Volunteer Services Council.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Donald Dodson of 63 years; son and daughter in law, Randal and Linette Dodson of Carrollton, GA; daughter, Stephanie Dodson Potts of Lubbock, TX; son, Kendal Dodson of Little Elm, TX; granddaughter, Shelby Potts of Lubbock, TX;  granddaughter and grandson in law, Cortney and Richard Smith of Florence, SC; grandson and granddaughter in law, Taylor and Christy Dodson of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Blane Potts of Austin, TX; grandson, Austin Dodson of Austin, TX; grandson, Kolby Dodson of Lubbock, TX;  granddaughter, Klaire Dodson of Denton, TX; grandson, Korbin Dodson of Lubbock, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Inez Webb; brothers William Webb, Jr.; sister, Judith Webb Boyd; brother, Donald Ray Webb and brother, Steven Webb.

She died on Monday, February 12, 2024.
