Our beloved Sandra Jane Farrell went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 17, 2018 peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers will host a gathering of friends and family on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.

Sandra was born on August 26, 1940 to Dallas and Louise (Schmidt) Martin in Ashland, WI. She graduated from Carlsbad High School and married the love of her life Thomas Farrell on December 19, 1959. In high school Sandra worked for Dale’s Flowers. After marrying and having children she was a loving mother, wife, and homemaker. Her hobbies included shopping, flower arranging, gardening, dining out, and Facebooking. She was very proud her children, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She never had a question that went unasked and the grandkids never had a visit to “Mimi’s” without getting a goody sack.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Norman Martin; and a sister, Patricia Moran.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Farrell; daughter Stacie Felker and husband, Robert of Odessa; son, Mike Farrell and wife, Marlena of Arlington; grandchildren, David Glueck and wife, Alba; Stephen Felker, Chris Farrell and fiancé, Morgan; Brandi Rodriguez and husband, Jeremy; Atley Farrell, Aiden Farrell; great-granddaughter, Brielle Rodriguez; and brother, Dallas Martin.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time . She was my cousin and so very sorry that I never had the priviledge of knowing her,with y'all in NM and I in Fla. My dad and her mom Louise were brother and sister. (Herman (Tex) Schmitt , and we lived in LaCrosse,Wis, Again my heart goes out to all of you. A Gratitude to Sandra "Mimi" Farrell: Thank you for raising such a remarkable human being, Chris, and taking such good care of Morgan -- two of my favorite friends.Thank you for the warmth you showed to me -- a stranger. I'll forever remember Morgan's graduation party, how you took in this stray and treated her like family. I vividly remember what a hoot you were and how lucky Chris and Morgan were to have such a cool grandmother. Though our encounters were brief, my memories of you are long lasting.Thank you for the zest and spunk for which you lived life. We never know what tomorrow brings, but golly you knew how to have fun. While we all have just a finite amount of time hear on Earth, your presence and reach will live on.
