Ryan was born on March 24, 1985, to Rex and Sherry (Patton) Swann in Lubbock and grew up in Plains, graduated from Plains High School. Ryan attended Texas Tech University and graduated from the Wolfforth Fire Academy. He was currently a Manager for Impact Fire Services. On March 24, 2006, he married Dora Garza in Lubbock. Ryan enjoyed fishing, playing video games and most importantly, being a dad.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Dora Swann; two children, Luke Ryan and Lauryn Elise all of Lubbock; father, Rex Swann and wife, Shawnee; brother, Jason Swann and wife, Erin; and their children, Jaci and Reid all of Plains; along with many beloved friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Ann Swann, and his grandparents.

Ryan was such a wonderful friend to all growing up, he was a good person who was fun to be around. We coached him in Little Dribblers and he was a great team player.
