Ruth Hutchings  was born on October 20, 1924, to Arthur and Louise Marquardt in Garfield, Kansas. She married Jack Almack on January 14, 1945, and with him raised their four children. Her second marriage was to Henry Hutchings, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Carol Gideon; Nancy Gil and husband, Miguel; Charles Almack and wife, Patricia; and Jon Almack and wife, Sylvia; grandchildren, Christopher Gideon and wife, Kate; Kevin Gideon and wife, Colleen; Timothy Gideon and partner, Valerie Rains; Emily Yosmanovich and husband, William; Lisa Gil and husband, Dave Forgosh; and Eva Gil and husband, Patrick Penney; great-grandchildren, Kai and Siena Yosmanovich; Willow and Sullivan Gil-Forgosh; and Andrew Gideon.
