Royce Richard Pickens

February 10, 1928 - March 1, 2018

Royce Richard Pickens was born in Chicago, IL, February 10, 1928, to Doyce and Gertrude Gammon. This father passed away and he was adopted by Alla Doyne Pickens. He graduated from Little Rock High School in 1946 and immediately joined the Navy as a photography instructor. He was recalled for the Korean War serving in Hawaii. His employment included factory representative for the Dental Division of SS White and Siemens, in 1978 he was promoted to Regional Manager of the Dental Division of GE in Boston. He ended his working years as a hearing aid audiologist. Royce moved to Lubbock, where he met and married Sylvia Pickens June 1, 1980.

He is survived wife, Sylvia and her children, Scott and Sheila Hennigar, and Cynthia Pedersen; grandchildren, Stuart and Tara Hennigar; and Hollye and John Preston Pedersen; and his daughter, Robin Fox.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Allen Pickens.

Services will be at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers on March 10, 2018 at 10 a.m.
