Our beloved Ronny Aubrey Martin went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 1, 2018 in the Lubbock, TX. Private family graveside will be held in the Citizens Cemetery, Clarendon, Texas. Visit www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for His family.
Ronny was born on February 18, 1937 to Aubrey and Linnie (Floyd) Martin in Hall County, TX. He graduated from Clarendon High School and Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree. On April 1, 1961 he married Janice Benson in Clarendon. Following service in the army, Ronny located to Washington D.C. to work as a geophysicist for the US.G.S.. From there he lived in Rockville, Maryland, Fredericksburg, Virginia, Dallas, Texas, and Golden, Colorado. While in Colorado he learned to ski and found this to be his favorite activity. He and his wife traveled frequently; visiting some of the most beautiful places in the county as well as Europe, South America, and Asia. They shared many wonderful memories of these vacations. In 2006, he and Janice moved to Lubbock to be near family members. Here he found contentment in his final year. Ronny will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Kelly Martin.
Ronny is survived by his wife, Janice Martin; daughter, Lisa Mangold; four grandchildren, Tanner Pederson, Colton Pederson, Aubrie Pederson, and Devin Mangold; two sisters, Shirley Palmer, and Connie McWhirter; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
