With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Gene Davis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Born in Russellville, AR, on November 22, 1947, to the late Artis and Janett Davis. The family moved to Lubbock when Ronald was young, and it is Lubbock where he made his home. Following graduation from high school, Ronald attended Texas Tech University where he received his bachelor’s degree followed by a master’s degree in art. He worked many years at the Lubbock State Supported Living Center in the maintenance department. His love for estate sales and antique collecting reflected his appreciation for the beauty and history woven into each item he acquired. Ronald loved his home of 39 years, on a peaceful plot of land where he tended to his cactus gardens, flower gardens, and a variety of wild birds.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Davis, daughters, Erin (Mark) Pharr and Kimberly (Todd) Baker, grandchildren, Todd Lee Baker Jr., Brett Baker, Emerie Pharr, and Cade Pharr, as well as his sister, Betty Davis, brother, Mikel Davis and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by a sister, Laveda Davis.
