Ronald Keith Ward, born on July 3, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas, went home to be with our Savior on November 5, 2015. Ron grew up in Brownfield, Texas and later attended Texas Tech University where he met and married the love of his life Sandra Kay Crawford on August 12, 1967 in O’Donnell, Texas. Ron was a devoted family man who was passionate about his church home at Bacon Heights Baptist Church where he was a member for over 40 years, serving as a dedicated Deacon. He operated his own business for over 30 years and treated others with fairness, integrity and respect. Ron would always share his strong testimony of the Lord and led his life accordingly. He enjoyed sharing his mechanical engineering aptitude and talents with others. Ron was an avid supporter of Texas Tech football, served many years in local baseball affiliations and was particularly interested in watching his sons and grandchildren play athletics and other activities. Some of his loves included Boy Scouts, watching the History Channel, drinking black coffee and he was an avid blood donor.He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mildred Ward and a son, Keith Ward.Ron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandra Ward, four children, Kim (Keith) Young of Murfreesboro, TN, Kevin Ward of Frisco, Kraig (Amy) Ward of Lubbock and Kurtis and (Traci) Ward of Lubbock; eight grandchildren, Cy, Eli , and Wyatt Young, Brittley, Karson, Kendall, Kinsley, and Remington Ward; and a brother, Jim Ward of Austin Memorial contributions may be made to Bacon Heights Baptist Church.
