Back in 2012 I was a new scared employee at USPS. For most of my life I had worked with my father selling insurance and all I wanted was to be able to perform well at my new job. Roger immediately took me under his wing and gave me tips and advice to do my job more efficiently without overwhelming myself. As the years went by he went from a great co-worker to an awesome friend. Not only did he share great life advice but also many of his delicious lunches his wife packed for him every morning. (Lol)We saw each other through tough times when we both lost our parents and he always took time to offer words of comfort to me and my brother who also works for USPS. Even though I could not offer much medical advice during his battle with cancer I had the privilege of being able to lift him and his wife up in prayer for the Lord to provide them strength during this trial. It goes without saying that he left us his (co-workers and friends) with so many memories and so much joy and laughter. There are big shoes that will never be filled as a coworker and friend. My family and I will continue to lift up Roger’s wife (Renee)and family up to the Lord to help them endure their great loss. However, I also take comfort that Roger is now experiencing inexplicable joy and peace. Rest easy my friend!
