Robert Kevin Penner was born December 24, 1954, in Dallas, to Robert Francis Penner and Ruth Duckworth Penner. Kevin lived in Dallas until age 12, when the family moved to Big Spring, Texas. He graduated from Big Spring High School in 1973. He was a 1977 graduate of Baylor University, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
He married Deborah J. Harding on September 9, 1978, in Waco, Texas. He worked as an independent petroleum landman in west Texas. He later worked as a title examiner at Service Title Company from 1992 until the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Kandace Ann Penner-Williams and husband William N. Williams of Gainesville, Florida; a brother-in-law David Harding and wife Carrie of Brownwood, Texas; two nieces, Emily Harding Owen of Dallas and Brandy Culpepper of Gainesville; a nephew, Andrew Harding of Brownwood; and two great-nephews, Chase and Henry Harding of Brownwood.
His parents preceded him in death.
Robert Kevin Penner, 68, of Lubbock, died Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his home.
