The family of Rhonda Bessent will celebrate her life of 66 years at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Her family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. She passed on Sunday, January 23, 2022. On May 21, 1955, Rhonda Ellen was born to Charles and Wanda Elrod in Gorman, TX. She married Rickey Bessent on June 24, 1972 at The Assemblies of God Church in Abilene, Texas.
Rhonda was the sweetest, kindest, and most compassionate person with a heart full of love for everyone. She gave selflessly in every aspect of her life. She was a devoted and loving wife to Rickey and a mom with such adoration and unconditional love for her children. She also loved her fur babies whom she spoiled beyond measure.
Rhonda is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Rickey Bessent; their children, Angela (Michael) McMakin, Tammy (Thimothy) Blanton; grandchildren, Twilla McMakin, Timothy McMakin, Mark McMakin, Jessica Blanton, Nevaeh Blanton; siblings, Charles Elrod; Sharon (James) King, Mary Leasa Allen, Ramona Ager.
She was preceded in death by father, Charles Elrod; mother, Wanda Pickens; son, Michael Bessent; sister, Cathy Jackson.
