Renee Alvina Neiber was born on December 10, 1941, in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Wilfred and Florence Emmel. She married the love of her life Daniel Neiber on September 24, 1960 in Wahpeton, ND.
Renee and Dan were married for 63 years. She loved spending time with Dan, attending Mass together, and traveling to various Catholic shrines. She always had a good ole’ time with her sisters and brothers and was a devoted mother who absolutely loved to care for her children. Every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren were precious to her.
Renee’s passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in nursing. Her tender care and unwavering dedication to her patients earned her the admiration and respect of all those whose lives she touched.
Her personality reflected the light of Christ with a strong character and unwavering spirit. It was always important to her that she dress nice and present herself with dignity in word and deed. She had a gift for sharing memories and creating them.
Renee retired in 2006 and her and Dan moved to Lubbock from Albuquerque to be closer to family. Volunteering at Holy Spirit Catholic Church brought her great joy as she made some life long friends there. She was an advocate for pro-life values and for the good of our country. She was an artist who loved painting, gardening, and decorating. She enjoyed cooking and baking and even made a cookbook that she gifted to all of her family one year for Christmas. Her greatest loves above all were her Catholic faith and family.
Renee’s family and her faith was truly the heart and soul of her existence. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Daniel “Dan” Neiber, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and commitment. Renee will forever be cherished as a loving mother to her children: Scott Neiber and wife Maria Campos Neiber, Chris Neiber and wife Michelle Holtby Neiber, Susanne See and husband Joseph, Michelle Neiber, and Adam Neiber. Her grandchildren, Michelle (Justin) Coury, Danielle (DJ) Jones, James (Ashley) See, Crystal See, Tiffany See, and Jacob (Jayci) See; along with seventeen great-grandchildren brought immense joy and happiness to her life.
Throughout her journey, Renee was blessed with the love and support of her siblings: Gloria Novotny,Luella Linzbach, Rosette Nordick, Kathy Cook, Kenneth Emmel, Alan “Butch” Emmel, Mark Emmel, Mary Lill, Christy Altoff, and Beth Salquist.
Renee A. Neiber touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark with her kindness, love, and unwavering dedication. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal tranquility, and may her memory forever guide and inspire us to live our lives with the same compassion and selflessness that she exemplified.
She is preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Florence and her oldest sister, Gloria Novotny.

Renee, at 81 years of life, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023, at her residence.
