Randy Lee Smith

Randy Lee Smith of Lubbock, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 28, 2022. He was born to Jerry and Mary Smith on December 3, 1957, in Lubbock, Texas. He retired from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center on May 31, 2021.Randy was a loving father and was very proud of both of his children. He had a kind easy spirit with a quick-witted sense of humor. Randy was a muscle car enthusiast, especially when it came to “Mopar”. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, music, sports, and cooking. He was a master at smoking briskets.Randy met his best friend, Cindy, in 9^th grade. Life led them in different directions for many years after that first date, but the Lord brought them back together in 1996 and blessed them with 26 years of friendship and love.He is survived by his first love, Cindy Miller Smith; daughter, Amy and her husband, Shaun Borden and their children Morgan, Shaun (SJ) and Ella; son, Branden Smith and his fiancée Nicole Combs and his son Jeremy and one on the way; Best friends were his brother, Gary Smith and his wife, Dianna; his sister, Rhonda and her husband, Scot Pate; a host of nieces and nephews; and, of course, his beloved fur kids, Sam and Bailey.He has now been reunited with his father, mother, and brother, Ronnie, in Heaven.The family would be honored for you to join them to celebrate Randy’s life with a graveside service officiated at Peaceful Gardens, 15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, Texas on July 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
