R. D. (Dave) Kendrix was born on December 28, 1934 to the late Dave and Eunice (Hamilton) Kendrix in Antlers, OK. Dave served two terms in the US Army, spending some of that time in Germany. On January 8, 1974 he married Dell Vick in Clovis, NM. Dave served as a Lubbock Police Officer for nine years before going into business for himself. He worked as a paint contractor until he retired in 2000.  He was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church for 39 years. Dave loved dogs and had seven beloved dogs over the years. He is survived wife, Dell Kendrix of Lubbock, two step-sons, Troy Lemons and wife Angie of Crowley and Randal Kendrix amd wife Jodi of Ft. Myers, FL; and 4 step-grandchildren.
