Patricia Lea Ham, age 85, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1939 in Jones County, Texas to Bill and Pansy Smith.
Pat was a one-of-a-kind woman, who in many ways, always seemed larger than life. She was bold, passionate and left her mark wherever she went. She was a creative at heart and was energized by people, art, travel and all things beautiful. She was also hard-working, driven and business savvy. As a young woman, she graduated from Jessie Lee’s Hair Design Institute and worked for twenty years as a hairstylist at Mademoiselle’s Beauty Shop. Following this, one of her greatest achievements was opening Pat Ham Inc. with her daughter Michaela. She grew to be one of the top producing realtors in Lubbock, Texas for many years. Pat was also quite the sports fan. Whether from her seat in the box or her couch at home, there are two teams she never missed, the Texas Tech Red Raiders or the Kansas City Chiefs. Pat loved to live life to the fullest and poured her heart into countless cherished friendships. She loved her family deeply, and loved to talk about the many special memories they made together over the years. Last but certainly not least, Pat adored her little dog Sophie.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pansy Smith, as well as her daughter, Sharmai Ham, who went to be with Jesus one year ago. She is survived by her daughter, Michaela Hendley, and her husband, Jeff; her grandchildren, Halston Coleman, and her husband Ryan; Chase Hendley, his wife Brianna, and their children Harper, Ellison and Norah; Kade Calhoun and Kolby Hendley; a niece, Sharon Lee; and nephew, Joe Edwards. Even then, no list could hold all the names of those whose lives she touched during her time on earth.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
