It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Herchman on October 20, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cherished friend, and a source of strength and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Patricia was born on July 17, 1931, and grew up in Chillicothe, Texas. Pat met the love of her life Paul Robert Herchman of Vernon, Texas and they married on September 17, 1949. As a wife, Pat was the rock of her family, providing unwavering support and boundless love. Her Christian faith and partnership with Paul were a testament to enduring commitment. Their love was an inspiration to their family and all that knew them. She unselfishly dedicated her life to supporting her family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.
As a mother, Pat was a beacon of guidance, nurturing her children with love, wisdom and endless devotion. She instilled in them the values that continue to shape their lives.
She is survived by her sister Norma Jean Griffin, daughter Cynthia Ann Brailey, son Paul Robert Herchman Jr. and wife Donna, grandchildren, Shad Watson and wife Jamie, Kristin Vyles and husband Nick, Trace Herchman, LeAnn Hanks and husband James, and great-grandchildren Cameron Watson and wife Grace, Addie Watson and Kinsley Vyles and Cora Vyles. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren fondly called her Mimi. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in our hearts.
In her honor, let us remember the love and strength she brought into our lives, and strive to carry those qualities forward as we navigate this world without her presence.
Patricia was a shining light in our lives, and her memory will forever shine bright in our hearts. May she rest in God’s hand with eternal peace knowing that her love will endure in the hearts of all that knew her.
