Pam Hlavaty, 75, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on December 9, 2022. She was born on December 14, 1946, in San Angelo, Texas, to the late Tommye and Paul Walter.
Pam graduated from Lubbock High School in 1965. She was second in line in a family of six girls and one boy – all with first names beginning with the letter “P.” Pam devoted her life to taking care of her husband and daughter. She loved spending time in the mountains at her second home in Ruidoso, New Mexico, and fishing from the dock at the OK K-Ke-Y on the Concho River. She blessed all those around her with grace and beauty and will be forever missed.
Those left to treasure her memory are her daughter, Brooke Hlavaty; her sisters, Poni Crocker of Lubbock and Pris Johnson of Dallas; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews; and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Hlavaty; parents, Paul, Sr., and Tommye Walter; brother, Paul Walter, Jr., sisters, Paula Copeland, Pat Martin, and Penny Tarver; nephew, Lance Copeland, and in-laws, Nell and D.J. Hlavaty.
