I just heard of Omar’s passing. We worked together for 8 years at VPT in Dallas. We were all a family there back then. I remember a nice man with a great sense of humor and a lovely smile. He was also a man who was so very talented in his profession. He was taken from this earth too soon. My heart goes out to his family and friends. May you rest in peace, Omar.

I was so shocked and sad to hear about Omar’s death. He made a huge difference in my life and I learned a great deal from him. I always admired his spirit, talent and creativity. I am holding the Godinez family in my heart during this time of loss.
Judy Godinez left a message on April 21, 2018:
From the time he was a pre-teen, I remember Omar and Brian visiting overnight at our place in McAllen. Omar would get up and make his bed and be anxious to get out and explore the neighborhood while Brian preferred to hang out and ask questions--both endeared themselves in their own ways. Omar was clever and witty and had a twinkle and style that I enjoyed. I remember his attentive hospitality when I visited not long after the death of his newborn daughter and how he spoke of her lovingly and heartbreakingly. His earnest and humble ways were endearing; he will be missed. My love and sympathy to Belia and to his siblings who have had more than their share of losses and have handled them admirably. With deep love, "Tia Judy"
