Friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy for the family to cherish in the area below the obituary.Olivia Chavez was born on November 18, 1927, to Gonzalo and Refugio Perez-Villarreal in Temple, Texas. Olivia married Ray Chavez on February 4, 1946, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lubbock, Texas.Survivors include her two daughters, Patsy Valdez, and Rita (Joe) Flores; two sons, David (JoAnn) Chavez; Bobby (Rosa) Chavez; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank (Vicky) Villarreal.She was preceded in death by her parents, Gonzalo and Refugio Perez-Villarreal; husband, Ray Chavez; son, Tony Chavez; two sisters, Ernriqueta Madrid, Juana Guerrero; three brothers, Reynaldo Villarreal, Guadalupe Villarreal, Gonzalo Villarreal, Jr.; and her son-in-law, Rosendo Valdez.
