Nola Belle was born March 18, 1931, to George Wesley and Irma Brown Cornett in Haskell, TX. She married William (Bill) Howard on September 5, 1949, in Lamesa, Texas. They were blessed with four daughters, Sherry, Donna, Tricia, and Karen. She was a wonderful homemaker and created a loving home for her family. She had many interests and hobbies including sewing and quilting. She loved to garden and feed the hummingbirds. In 1980 she and Bill left Lamesa and lived in the mountains of Colorado for 15 years. In 1996, they moved to Bloomfield, NM, and lived there until they moved back to Lubbock in 2007. She loved to laugh and joke and always enjoyed a juicy story. She loved being with her family and looked forward to large get-togethers and family reunions.
Nola is survived by children, Sherry (John) Bost, Donna (Jay) White, Patricia (Mark) Maule, and Karen (Doug) Lambo; grandchildren, Brian (Brandie) Bost, Laura (Scott) Moore, Justin (Melissa) White, Stacy Bost, J.J. (Casey) Stokes, Nick (Victoria Atencio) Maule, Jake Maule, Kaitlin Lambo, Ashlee (Bobby) Garza, Cameron (Ashlee) Lambo, Conner (Alyssa) Lambo; great-grandchildren, Lennon (Amanda) Estrada, Jacob Bost, Bella Moore, Bailey White, Cason Stokes, Luke Bost, Grayson Moore, Madison White, Mason White, Canton Stokes, Jax Lambo, Everett Garza, Everly Lambo, Briggs Lambo, Gaines Garza; great-great-grandchild, Jericho Estrada.
She is preceded in death by husband, Bill Howard; parents, George Wesley, and Irma Cornett; siblings Desmond Cornett, Horace Cornett, F. N. Cornett, Mildred Hobbs, and Glenn Cornett.
