Monte Lynn Lynch was born on April 7, 1956, in Crosbyton, Texas. He was a graduate of Monterey High School in 1975, and proudly served in the Marine Corps. After his military service, he returned to Lubbock and worked in many law enforcement capacities. Monte worked for the Lubbock Sheriff’s office, served as a Texas Tech police officer, and later at the Plainview Police Station.
Apart from his admirable public service, Monte was a dedicated member of the Aces and Eights Motorcycle Club in Levelland. He found solace and joy in riding his motorcycle through the open roads, embracing the freedom that came with every turn of the throttle.
Monte is survived by his daughter, Sunshine May, and husband Taylor; grandchildren, Leighton, McLane, and Summit May; sister, Rita West, and her children, Apriel Cain, and Aaron West.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Billie Carrol (Denson) Lynch; and his son, Joshuah Lynch.
