Nine days before her 87th birthday, on July 25, 2018, our dear sweet Momma was called home. She was born in James City, Texas on August 3, 1931. She married James N. Allred on August 3, 1948. She is preceded in death by their infant sons, Michael James and James Nathan, Jr., and the love of her life for 65 years, James N. She did a little of everything, accounting, collections, answered the phone, for Daddy’s plumbing business, A&M Plumbing, Lubbock, Texas. She was also involved in every way in women’s activities in every Baptist church they joined, including a prayer warrior on the prayer chain. She volunteered at the hospital as a Pink Lady where Daddy worked in Seminole. She quilted probably at least 500 quilts in her lifetime for so many people. About 30 of those were for the first grandchild, Amanda. She was always lovingly, selflessly doing whatever she could for her children, family, friends, church, and others.
She is survived by her little sister, Lila Steaurt and her husband Garland, of Lamesa; her son, Nathan and his wife, Mira, of Lubbock; her daughter, Teresa Nelson and her husband, Jeff, of Round Rock; and her daughter, Melody Lauzon and her husband, Tim, of Hutto. Also, are the grandchildren, Amanda Miller and her husband Kevin, Vance Scarborough, Cassandra Lauzon, Lydia Lauzon, and Naomi Lauzon.
