Mary Jo Comer, age 88, of Spur, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Mary Jo was born on August 8, 1935, in Spur, Texas, to Marlin James and Lutie Joe Pickens Rogers. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Michelle) Comer, Kevin (Michelle) Comer, and Kenneth Comer; grandchildren, Chad (Tara) Comer, Brandon (Megan) Marion, Cory Comer, Blake (Lacy) Marion, Macie Comer, Avery Comer, Aydin Comer, Sidney Comer, and Casey Comer; great-grandchildren, Ava Comer, Brody Comer, and (arriving in September), Rhett Jacob Marion; as well as her siblings, Peggy Guess, Shirley “Dot” Smith, Jimmy Rogers, and Carolyn Colquit.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Lutie Joe Rogers, and her sister, Alice Marlene Smith.

Mary Jo’s warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her faith, generosity, and endless love for her family.
