Margaret Jean Castle

Margaret Jean Castle passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, surrounded by her husband and children. A celebration of her life will be held at 3 PM, Sunday May 20, 2018, at North Ridge Life Church (1101 Milwaukee) in Lubbock, Texas.  Flowers may be sent to Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd Street.

Margaret was born on July 7, 1941, to Clarence and Mary Opal Hobgood in Tira, Texas. She spent her early childhood in East Texas and her later childhood in Morton, Texas. She transferred to Whiteface, Texas her senior year where she graduated from high school in 1959.

On April 2, 1960, Margaret married the love of her life, Loyde Castle at First Baptist Church in Bledsoe, Texas. Her greatest joy was spending time with her four sons, daughter, and many grandchildren or having coffee with a friend at her kitchen table where everyone was always welcome.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Opal Hobgood; and sister, Nita Baisden.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Loyde Castle; sons, Wesley Castle and wife, Lisa; Chuck Castle and wife, Kellie; Matt Castle and wife, Julie; Rodney Castle and wife, Ginna; daughter, Mandi Castle Robertson and husband, Jake; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Tyler and wife, Abby; Tanner and wife, Miranda; Ryan and wife, Chandler; Reagan, Kevin, A.J., Crystal and husband, Jameson; Charlie, Brandon, Keller, and Mallory; precious great-grandchildren, Brazo, Brooks, Rylan and Kitty; siblings, Wesley Hobgood and wife, Kaye; Dewayne Hobgood and wife, Jeannie; Shirley Woolam, Clovis Hobgood, and Claude Hobgood and wife, Joanne.
