Her Lord and Savior called Beth home on January 30, 2025 at the age of 87. She is survived by her son Randy Reynolds and wife Jayne of Lubbock, daughter Rhonda Bownds and husband Kenneth of New Deal. Grandsons, Brandon and Ariel Bownds of Johnson City Texas, Bobby and Bailey Bownds of Katy Texas and Travis and Mackenzi Reynolds of New Home Texas. Great Grandchildren, Kayleigh Marshall, Wyatt Martin, Brinleigh Reynolds, Robbie Reynolds, Aurora Bownds, Emma Bownds and Reese Bownds. Her sister Pat Thornton, Sister-in-laws Jane Baughman and Rosalee King and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Reynolds, parents Harold and Jewel McLaughlin and brother Don McLaughlin.
Beth was born on 10-29-37 in Plainview TX. She graduated from Lockney High School in 1956 as well as from Watson Business School in Plainview. Beth was a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Red Cross Board and Daughters of the American Revolution. She and Jim were married on 7-10-1958 in Lockney where they lived until 1972. They also lived in Crosbyton and Tulia. She and Jim were owners and publishers of The Lockney Beacon and Crosbyton Review newspapers, which won many awards for excellence. They were also part owners of Blanco Offset Printing in Floydada and Brazos Offset Printing in Slaton.
Beth was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia. She was a strong Christian and very involved in her various churches and Sunday School classes. Beth loved all her family very much and was an excellent mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She is remembered for being a great prayer warrior by friends and family.
