Mack Shaw, a devoted family man, earned his wings on August 30, 2024 in Lubbock Texas at the age of 84. Mack was born on August 2, 1940 in Rotan Texas to Hollie and Osie Shaw.
Mack grew up in Lubbock, attending Lubbock High School. Mack held different positions with Nunn Electric for over 35 years including regional manager. After retirement from Nunn Electric, Mack founded Lubbock Skylight, eventually retiring to travel with the love of his life, Fran Shaw.
Known for his love of golf, quality time with his family and competitive family games, Mack was a true master in the art of living life to the fullest. One of his favorite sayings was “Let the good times roll.” His passion for good food, especially his beloved desserts, and cooking for his family brought joy to many gatherings. Mack’s creative woodworking skills showcased his innovative and inventive spirit. There was no challenge too great for him, as he fearlessly took on any task with unwavering determination.
Mack is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Fran Shaw and 5 children, Mari Box, Debbie Guerra, Cory Shaw, Rusty Shaw (Jenny), and Hollie Castleberry. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Joey, Matt, Max, Stephanie, Melissa, Jennifer, Brandon, Travis, and Haylee. Great grandchildren include Aubrey, Bailey, Carter, Colt, Allie, Jacob, Taylen, Conner, Autumn, and Draven. He is also survived by his sister, Glenda Copeland and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Mozelle and Grace. Mack had many close friends that will miss him dearly.
As we look back on Mack’s life, let us celebrate his remarkable journey filled with laughter, love and an unwavering spirit that touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He may have left this world, but his legacy of fearlessness and creativity will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. Rest in peace Mack. We will see you at dinner.
