Lyle Vaughn Cox, known to many as “Big Chief” was born on November 3, 1959, to the late A.V. and Virginia Cox in Lubbock, Texas. With a bachelor’s degree under his belt, Lyle dedicated his life to achieving success in his career, and his hard work and determination led him to become a CEO of ICT Oilfield Products in Littlefield. He married the love of his life, Vonda on August 20, 2003, in Graham, Texas.
Lyle was deeply committed to his family. He was the loving husband of Vonda Cox, and together they created a beautiful life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. Lyle was the proud father of two daughters, Shannon (Austen) Hubbard and Stephanie (Bradley) Branscum, and a sister, Laura (Dana) Gibson.
Chief’s role as a grandfather was equally important to him, and he found immense joy in the presence of his grandchildren. Easton Branscum, Lola Hubbard, Braxley Branscum, Jack Hubbard, and Janson Branscum brought a sparkle to his eyes and filled his heart with endless love and affection.
Outside of his professional and family life, Lyle was an avid supporter of Texas Tech University. As a loyal fan, he cheered on the Red Raiders with unwavering passion, proudly displaying his school colors and attending games whenever possible.
Lyle Vaughn Cox will forever be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest, embraced his passions, and cherished his loved ones. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
