Lofflin “LF” Irwin was born on December 25, 1925, to Felix and Lottie Irwin in Floyd County, Texas. On December 30, 1948, Lofflin married the love of his life, Doris Murdock in Plainview, Texas. LF was a family man, businessman, farmer, rancher, and friend. He did the work of three men every day of his life. Resting was for loafers. He knew a lot about everything and everything about most things. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved working with him, playing with him, hunting with him, laughing with him, eating apples and oranges peeled by him, getting knots on their noggins by him, and getting squeezed by him. They lovingly called him by his favorite name of all, Grandy.
