Lisa Ellan Merxbauer was born March 11, 1957, to Robert and Shirlene (Pannell) Whisenant in Plainview, TX. She moved to Lubbock at a young age where she attended Monterey High School. She Married David Fisher in 1978 whom she built a family of three children with; Candace, David Morgan and Stephanie. Together they ran Fisher Trim & Glass creating a legacy that remains a strong family business that will be passed down to generations of the Fisher family. She later relocated to Snohomish, WA where she married Frank Merxbauer on November 13th 2012. Sadly, Frank lost his battle to cancer late November of 2021.
Lisa was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of her community in San Antonio.
Lisa overcame many difficult challenges in her life and she always did so with a pleasant attitude and good spirit. She is a onetime cancer survivor and left this world fighting cancer a second time! She loved spending time in her garden in Washington growing fruits, vegetables and herbs. She enjoyed listening to music and really understanding what the story of that song was. She is a giver and enjoys taking care of others.
Lisa was always willing to help those in need or even those not in need because her kindness radiated through everyone she helped.
Our time with Lisa was cut short and she will be greatly missed as a daughter, a sister, a sister in-law, a mother, a mother in-law, a grandmother, an aunt, a cousin, a friend and a caretaker.
Lisa is survived by her children: Candace & Travis Bridges, David Morgan & Rylee Fisher and Stephanie Fisher; grandchildren Emory & Everett Bridges, Ryker Ainsworth & Owen Fisher; mother Shirlene Juno and siblings Francyne & Sid (Buzz) Underwood and Kevin & Kathy Whisenant.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert Whisenant; husband Frank Merxbauer and her brothers; Steve Whisenant and Randall Whisenant.
