Linda Sue Littlejohn was born on December 18, 1947, in Phillips, TX to Porter and Kathryn Louise (Hamilton) Nicholson. After graduating from Phillips High School, Linda moved to Lubbock to pursue her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, which she completed in 1973.
Linda met the love of her life, Eddie Littlejohn in 1976 and they were married August 15, 1976, in Lubbock. She dedicated her career to being a Dietician. She worked at West Texas Hospital until their closing. Linda went back to Texas Tech University and was proud to complete her master’s degree in 1988. She continued to work at various healthcare facilities throughout her career, ending with Creative Solutions before her passing.
Throughout her life, Linda found joy in her work, gardening, shopping, cooking, and cherishing moments with her grandchildren. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Linda’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family and friends before her own. Linda was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a member of Woodrow Baptist Church.
Linda is survived by her husband, Eddie Littlejohn; daughters, Lisa (Scotty) Goodwin of Childress, TX, Christina Walker of Lubbock, TX, and Shelley Littlejohn of Fritch, TX; grandchildren, Justin and Nathan Goodwin and Brayden Walker; sisters, Carrie Barron of Colbert, OK and Diana (Larry) Barnett of Fritch, TX; and numerous dearly loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Louise Nicholson, and her father- and mother-in-law, Willie Dean and Mary Littlejohn.
Linda Sue Littlejohn, 76, of Lubbock, TX passed away surrounded by family on April 7th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Linda’s kindness, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
A celebration of life ceremony for Linda will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers on April 11, 2024, at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
