Linda Pearl Condra Lewis was born on April 2, 1957, to Marvin and Eunice Timms Condra in El Paso, Texas. From an early age, she exhibited a genuine and caring nature that would shape her life and career. Linda grew up with strong family values and an innate desire to serve others.
As a young woman, Linda pursued a career in nursing, becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She began her nursing journey at St. Mary’s Hospital, now known as Covenant Medical Center – Lakeside, where she provided compassionate care to patients. Later, she worked for Dr. Theo, an esteemed orthopedic surgeon in Lubbock, Texas. Her dedication and servant’s heart made her an indispensable part of his practice, and she retired in 2019 after decades of touching lives with her skill and empathy.
On March 5, 1976, Linda married Gaylon “Buffalo” Lewis in Lubbock, Texas. Their union was one of deep love and devotion. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with family, faith, and cherished memories. He passed away on June 3, 2016, leaving Linda with the legacy of his love and strength.
After Gaylon’s passing, Linda found comfort and community in the Lake Ridge Ladies, a cherished group of women who had also lost their spouses. Within this circle of friendship, she found solace, laughter, and the support of women who understood her journey. These friendships were a source of joy, and she treasured every moment spent with these remarkable women.
Linda’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active and faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Slaton, where she recommitted her life to our Lord and Savior and was baptized. Her unwavering faith provided her with a sense of purpose and a deep connection to her church community.
Linda is survived by her sons, BJ Lewis and his wife Brittany, Cody Lewis and his wife, Kelcee, and Brady Lewis and fiancé, Jessica Davis, her half sister, Ruth Childress; and her beloved grandchildren: Stetson Lewis and his girlfriend, Macaela, Brenna, Lane, Keighley, Hudson Lewis, Ayden and Riley Linnenkugel, great grandbaby, Blakley, daughter of Stetson and Macaela.
