It is with great love and heartfelt remembrance that we celebrate the life of Linda Braswell, who passed away peacefully from a short illness on January 22, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Linda was born on November 10, 1956, in Lamesa, Texas, to L.D. and Margaret Freeman. She graduated from Klondike High School in 1975.
Linda possessed a deep love for animals and was known for her unwavering concern for the wellbeing of others. A devoted grandmother, Linda never missed a sporting event for her beloved grandchildren, Emily and Colt Wood, often cheering on the sidelines with a radiant smile that could light up any room
Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially during her cherished sister trips and her family trips to Disney World and Ruidoso. She inspired all with her zest for life, always seeking happiness for herself and those she loved. Linda was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her.
Linda’s radiant spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives she has touched. While we grieve her loss, we also gather to celebrate a life richly lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. May her legacy of kindness and joy live on in our hearts forever.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Amber (Jacob) Heesch; grandchildren, Emily Wood, Colt Wood; siblings, Rhonda Freeman, Sandra (Brad) King; nephews and niece, Lindsey (Dan) Wallace, Ross (Katie) Bokemeyer, Bryan Heald, Brandon Heald; her beloved dog, Coco; and numerous other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents L.D. and Margaret Freeman, grandparents L.D. and Lucille Freeman, and Claude and Annie Wilson.
