The family of LeNora Stockton will celebrate her life of 82 years with a time of fellowship and remembrance from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. On December 23, 1939, LeNora was born in Lubbock, TX. She grew up in Brownfield and graduated from Brownfield High School. LeNora graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She married Jerry Stockton on November 28, 1963, at 1^st Baptist Church, Brownfield, Texas.

They then moved to Wolfforth, Texas where she taught several different grades and hundreds of students. They moved, for a time to Clarendon, Texas where she taught for a few years before retiring. She always loved the kids she taught.

Her greatest love was the Lord and her family. She loved Christmas and decorating so that everyone enjoyed what she had created for them. She loved attending the events of her kids and grandkids. Whether it be a game, recital, concert, or anything else she was always there smiling and cheering them on.

She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed, but she is with the Lord, and I’m sure, laughing and catching up with those who got there first.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Stockton; son, Scott Stockton, and wife Dawn; daughter, Shanna Stockton; grandchildren, Taylor Stockton, and Reagan Stockton; one nephew; numerous nieces; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Wilson Turner; mother, Lydia Maxine Ratliff; and sister, Sandra Slaton.

The family of LeNora Stockton has designated The Haven Animal Care Shelter for memorial contributions donated in her memory.

Saying good-bye to a friend of many years is always difficult, but the last few days of remembering all the wonderful times LeNora and I spent together with each other and with our friends has been precious. We "almost" shared a birthday, hers on December 23 and mine on the 24th and so we have the birthday memories we could enjoy and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. My love to Jerry Don and to all in her family. I know how much she loved all of you and am certain your hearts are left with a place that will always miss her.

What a sudden, sad shock to hear about LeNora. We were classmates at Brownfield High School and also at Texas Tech. She was a gorgeous, sweet friend. After I married we moved too far away, but I was happy to see her and her family on Facebook. Heaven just acquired another beautiful angel.

LeNora was a beautiful and special lady. She will be missed by many, many people and friends. My condolences to her family.

Sending our love, thoughts and prayers to you all. I remember LeNora always being at school, stock shows and ball games with the most beautiful smile and beaming with pride watching her grandchildren! She will continue watching, with a view from heaven. Love you all.

LeNora was a beautiful lady- physically and spiritually. She always had a smile and greeted you with genuine interest in our well being . For a time in Brownfield she lived close to us on the same block in the 50'S. We were also classmates - Mike a year above and Mary a year behind. LeNora liked the song,"Earth Angel". I will always remember her kindness, wisdom, wit, humor, positive attitude, and great smile. She had a positive impact on me and i’m sure countless others who were fortunate to know her through school and in the community. Warm regards to the Stockton Family during this time.
