Karla Lou Ramsey

Karla Lou Ramsey, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on August 26, 2023, at her residence in Lubbock, TX. She was born on December 23, 1964, in Abilene, TX to her loving parents, Don and Frances Lou Ramsey.

Karla lived a vibrant life, filled with joy and creativity. At the young age of two weeks, she moved with her family to California, where her natural artistic talent began to blossom. Karla had a flair for capturing the world around her through her drawings and paintings, inspiring all those who were fortunate enough to see her work.

Karla graduated from Coleman Business College. She was always eager to expand her knowledge and unlock new possibilities. As a waitress in the hospitality industry, Karla found joy in connecting with people and making their dining experiences memorable.

Karla will forever be remembered for her warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family. She is survived by her dear mother Frances Terrell; brother Steven Kyle Ramsey and his wife, Veronica; and her cherished nieces and nephews: Angela Ramsey, Ryne McCormick, Austin McCormick, and Sheldon Murphy. Karla’s presence in their lives will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in their hearts.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity as Karla was a passionate advocate for supporting others in need.

Karla Lou Ramsey’s spirit will continue to shine through the memories and love shared by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Karla was preceded in death by her father, Don Ramsey; sister, Donna Lou Ramsey; and her grandparents, Elmer and Mary Lou Hall, C.A. and Tollie Ramsey; uncle Ross Hall.
