Karen Jane Anderson

Karen Jane Anderson was born on July 14, 1942, to Everett and Margaret Hayes in Knoxville, Iowa. At the age of 14, she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Anderson. Karen graduated
from Knoxville High School in 1960 and the American Institute of Business in 1961. After five years of dating, Karen and Bob were married on August 26, 1961. Karen was exceptional in
everything she did, especially as a wife, mother to Mike and Angie, grandmother to Ella and Stance, and a homemaker. She also served tirelessly for 11 years on the Missions Board at the
First Assembly of God church in Des Moines, Iowa. Her servant’s heart and attention to detail knew no boundaries. Whether it was for family, friends, work, or her home, she made sure
everything was perfection. Karen’s bright smile and kind eyes always showed the joy in her heart and how proud she was of her family. Above all, her faith in the Lord is what gave her
strength and her greatest joy each day.

Survivors include her children Angie (Stance) Labaj and Mike Anderson; grandchildren, Ella Labaj, and Stance Labaj.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Margaret Hayes; and her husband, Robert W. Anderson.

Karen passed on Saturday, August 5, 2023, surrounded by family
