Julia Dawn King, also known as Sassy, lived up to that name in every sense of the word. Her family was her everything. Every free moment she had, she spent chasing her mini blessings to sports events, catching a concert, or trying to find some water to float in. She was hard-working, driven, and when she set her mind on something, nothing could stand in her way. She loved fiercely and would fight to the end for the people she loved. Holidays were very important to her, and everything had to be perfect and over the top. She packed her house full of decorations and food and people! Her favorite saying that we will all continue to live by is: “It’s a God thing.”
Survivors include her husband, Jerry King; their daughters, Danyale (Jonathan) Hadderton, Danay (Cody) Carnes, and Dalesha Hobbs; grandchildren, Keylee, Aubrey, Avery, Kayzlee, Kylee, Brayden, Khloe, and Cohen; mother, Karon Cheyne; brothers, Billy (Kari) Cheyne, and Jeffary (Amy) Cheyne; and sisters, Sharon Moore, and Carolyn (Jimmy) Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Cheyne.
