Judy Dotson
June 30, 1951 - July 4, 2024
Judy Dotson, wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior on July 4, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Nelson Dotson, and her three sons and their families: Christopher Dotson and wife Bobbie and their children Melissa, Susan, Richard, Hannah, Christian, and Theodore; Stephen Dotson and wife C.J. and their daughter J.J.; Daniel Dotson and wife Chazley and their children Austin, Lily, and Leland.
Judy was adored by her students for decades. She demonstrated abundant joy, generosity, and kindness in her classroom, as well as in her church and community. To Judy, no one was a stranger for long. More than just a gift for conversation, Judy had a gift for building relationships, demonstrating a profound empathy for everyone she met and for her family most of all. She will be missed every single day.
A celebration of her life will be held at Highland Baptist Church 4316, 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 8th.
